On March 31, 2023, at 02.00 A.M., fire broke out in a house number 279 and spread to number 277 in Ban Mae La Temporary Shelter, Tha Song Yang District, Tak Province.

   Then villagers and Emergency Relief Team helped to put out the fire at 02.45 A.M.

   The cause of the fire was assumed that the houseowner who lived alone had lit the candle and then slept. As he died in fire, it was told by neighbors that he was a heavy drinker and that he might get so drunk that he was unconscious when fire started so he could not escape.

   After the incident, the house number 279 and the neighbor house number 277, including all properties, were totally burned down.

   After the fire, all organizations visited and distributed basic relief supplies for this family. COERR provided kitchenware and clothing and also registered the affected family as beneficiaries of COERR program for the vulnerable.
